Illuminated Integration worked to replace the existing stage and house lighting system in the Kaplan Theater at Towson University in MD. Altman Chalice 70W LED Recessed fixtures are utilized over the house, replacing dated incandescent recessed fixtures. In order to keep the look of the original pendant lights over stage while adding versatility of a color changing LED, The Light Source HL Series, RGBW fixtures fit the bill perfectly. The new LED house and stage lights provide a higher level of illumination while saving on power from the previous house lights. over the seating, illumination has been improved from 10-15 FC to 25-30 FC.
Illuminated Integration upgraded the architectural controls for the space from a Legacy Unison system to the latest Paradigm system from ETC. All of the existing button stations were replaced with Inspire button stations and a new touchscreen was installed in the tech booth. The existing dimmer rack was also upgraded to CEM3. Lastly, Illuminated Integration updated the space to have a fully network based control system. New network plug-in stations were installed in all of the necessary positions to allow for future expansion. One-Port Touring Gateways were used on the catwalk positions to provide DMX to the new fixtures.
With the upgrade of the space, new dimmer modules were installed in the Sensor Rack to provide the correct power types to the various fixture types. Illuminated Integration installed Source Four LED Series 2 Lustr Ellipsoidals on the catwalk positions to provide a full stage front color wash. Because the existing dimmer rack was left in place, the modules are able to be switched from relay to dimmer modules. This allows the school to supplement the LED front light with their inventory of existing conventional fixtures.
Lastly, Illuminated brought life to the aging curtains in the room by cleaning and restoring them.
For this project, Illuminated Integration not only installed the aforementioned system, we also consulted with the project architect from start to finish. Providing insight from the beginning, Illuminated was able to seamlessly integrate a much more functional and tailored package for Towson University.
"At Dorney Park we have a 200’ tall attraction that had an antiquated lighting system. It was inefficient, and static color changes would consume a large amount of time from our team. Illuminated Integration proposed a solution utilizing technology from SGM Lighting for our attraction. The tower is not only much brighter than before, but now it is the most visually stunning element in our skyline! The solution is easier to maintain, less expensive to operate and easier to manage color changes. I would definitely recommend considering Illuminated Integration and SGM Lighting for future projects."Michael Fehnel Dorney Park - Dominator

"Tyler and Mike from Illuminated did a superlative job with our Frederico Theater. They started the project soon after signing the contract, they met every deadline, they had no change orders, they communicated clearly and often and their training sessions were superb. We could not have asked for a better partner for Holy Ghost Prep's Frederico Theater."Tim Woods Holy Ghost Prep's Frederico Theater
"I am the Technical Director at Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, NJ. Illuminated did a complete overhaul of our audio system; replacing the speakers, sound board, infrastructure, 20 wireless body mics and receivers, and adding some plug and play XLR ports to the front of the stage which work off touchscreens in various places in the room. Everything works seamlessly and their tech support is top notch. They are always willing to help even at weird times (which is especially helpful if something goes wrong during or near showtime!)."Chris Scoles St. John Vianney High School - Theatre Audio System
