RiggingIlluminated Integration partnered with Hayden Power Group to enhance and expand the production capabilities of multiple studio spaces within the McCormick Center. Although our initial role was to provide installation services for a pre-engineered design, it soon became clear that the university required modifications beyond the original scope. Our team collaborated directly with the faculty and studio staff to refine the design, implement new solutions, and ensure the systems aligned with how the spaces were truly used day-to-day. This project ultimately became a strong example of our ability to adapt, collaborate, and deliver solutions uniquely suited to each client’s needs.
Within the studios, our work included furnishing and installing a green screen wall, specialty studio flooring, and a roll-drop backdrop. We also installed new pipe grids, curtains, and track to support flexible production workflows. The project incorporated an ETC Paradigm control system, Sensor IQ power systems, new connector strips, and comprehensive programming, commissioning, training, and warranty support. Additional improvements included video-fiber cable distribution and several audio system enhancements that built upon the existing design.
Separate from the studio work, the university also requested improvements elsewhere in the building. Illuminated Integration provided a distributed audio system throughout the hallways, giving the facility the ability to deliver clear, consistent audio coverage for communication, instructional use, and general building support. This addition expanded the overall functionality of the McCormick Center and complemented the upgraded studio environments.
