Types of LED Walls
A fixed, indoor wall must perform differently than a mobile outdoor one. Choose the technology that meets your applications.
Indoor vs. Outdoor
Indoor and outdoor LED walls have different brightness and color levels. Outdoor panels must account for glare, while indoor panels must reach optimal performance in dim lighting. LEDs have a range of certain brightness that can make indoor LEDS difficult to see in outdoor conditions. Likewise, the certain brightness of an outdoor LED wall cannot account for the amount of brightness needed inside.
A bit of extra effort and some math can uncover a range that best fits both indoor and outdoor LED needs, if necessary.
Fixed vs. Mobile
Fixed LED walls are ideal for permanent locations like churches that use dedicated spaces for their activities.
Mobile LED walls are more suited for events and locations that need to move their video walls often. These systems have a special back that allows users to mount the LED wall in different ways. These walls also feature larger grayscale ranges, so the LED display is visible during indoor and outdoor use.
