Over the past year, Penn State University has added improved technology in their Kulkarni Theatre. In 2022, Illuminated Integration installed a full Newtek System and integrated Panasonic PTZ cameras, enhancing their video production capabilities. Building upon the video system, in 2023 Illuminated installed an advanced audiovisual system that meets the diverse needs of its wide-ranging events. The carefully designed speaker system ensures consistent, high-quality sound throughout the audience area, enhancing both speaking engagements and immersive theater performances. With the Q-sys control system, intuitive control of the entire AV setup is at the fingertips of the theater’s technical staff. The removal of the outdated Crestron control system streamlined operations and improved overall efficiency. Illuminated Integration successfully delivered a technology solution that elevates the theater’s capabilities, creating an enriched audiovisual experience for its patrons. Working with Penn State to install this system in stages allowed the department to optimize cost distribution, while ensuring each component would work together as intended in the unique space.
